Sr.
Software Engineer / Head of Development
- Origenius started as an idea to
bring together some of the leading PHP developers and build a Professional
Services company around PHP and PHP technology. This idea made me move
from Denmark to Lincoln, NE. Unfortunately the economy behind many dot-com
companies collapsed and our investors decided to back out in December
2000.
- My work was concentrated on
identifying potential customers and employees as well as defining the
strategy for the development department. This included a close contact to
the CEO and CFO during the process of building the business plan.

Swwwing A/S Denmark
7/1997 – 6/2000
Vice
President of Development / CTO
- In 1997 Swwwing A/S was a growing
Internet business with many ideas and very little control over business
processes. SystemForum A/S acquired the company and it was a national
transition for me to take over the responsibility for research and
development in this new company.
- During the three years I reduced
the development time, increased product quality as well and quantity and
at the same time reduced the organization to 1/3, from 75 to 25 employees.
- The key product, a collection of
Intranet applications, was redesigned from a single platform solution to a
100% integrated suite of applications running on multiple platforms. The
product has been sold to more than 300 customers, in the private sector
and local government, in 5 countries with an average of 800 users per
installation. Swwwing 2000 is an enterprise level information and
communication platform developed with web technology. It has a modular
structure and features include News, Calendar, Booking, Handbooks, Status,
Q&A, Info From, Document management and many more.

of the development team, coding as well as strategic product development
and I worked with the sales teams on closing large accounts.

entire IT installation including network, file, database and web servers
on different platforms and client computers.

processes for development, production, test and support. Most of the work
was carried out with an ISO 9000 certification in mind.
- My technical background allowed my
to build a much needed ‘communication bridge’ between the development and
support departments. The role made me take the responsibility for
documentation of new features and products, handling internal and external
training programs and finally handling the design and development of
testing procedures for all new products.
- Reporting to the CTO in an
organization of 40-50 employees.
Procom France 12/1991 – 6/1992

This short period evolved into 7 months with two full time jobs more than 800 miles apart. I
was the IT manager of both organizations and the CEO of the small sales
office in Paris, with responsibility for a number of large contracts with
the government as well as clients in the private sector.
